Louisiana isn’t working. Last year, Louisiana was one of only four states to lose jobs, while the national economy grew. As of June, we had the WORST economy in the country.
What’s standing in our way? The budget process. In 2018, only 11% of Louisiana’s budget was up for review.
Louisiana needs to fix the budget process and stop our elected officials from wasting more taxpayer dollars on temporary fixes.
Only true comprehensive budget reform will put us on a new path and bring jobs and opportunity back to Louisiana.
